Sugar Corporation’s eight months performance of the current budget year is encouraging, it is disclosed.
The encouraging performance of the Corporation is disclosed at the meeting held between March10-12, 2021 at Bishoftu Town to evaluate the eight months performance of the Corporation.
Leadership members of Sugar Corporation head office, sugar factories and sugar development projects as well as representatives of the Corporation’s labor union were attendants of the evaluation meeting.
The Corporation`s eight months performance evaluation forum which was concluded on March12, 2021 has focused on the status of sugar factories eight months production performance; status of eight months performance of sugar development projects focusing mainly on commissioning of Tana Beles Sugar Factory; performance of reform packages during the last eight months; Corporation`s eight months financial performance; overhauling of sugar factories in 2021/2022 summer time and also on the focal points of the Corporation`s 2021/2022 budget year plan.
As the last eight months performance of the Corporation was affected by Covid-19 pandemic, shortage of factory spare parts and others, CEO of Sugar Corporation Ato Weyo Roba has given directions on how to carry out a recompensing job in the remaining four months of the budget year so as to fulfill the set plan of the Corporation.
“All leadership members need to address the basic questions of what reform is, what we are to reform, and what for we carry out reform and strive to register a better performance implementing the planned reform packages during the remaining four months of the budget year”, Ato Weyo has also underlined.
Members of leadership of the Corporation at last reached at a consensus to exert their maximum effort to fulfill the budget year’s plan the Corporation has set in the remaining four months.
