Minimizing expense and Avoiding Uneconomic Usage of Resources Vital to Make ESIG’s Reform Fruitful

–> Group’s Evaluation of 2015 E.C Performance and Plan of 2016 Held

A call is made to Employees and management members of Ethiopian Sugar Industry Group to work on expense minimization and evasion of uneconomic usage of resources to make the undergoing reform activities fruitful. Group’s evaluation of 2015 EC performance as well as plan of 2016 is held in Bishoftu town with attendance of head office management members and employees.

Ethiopian Sugar Industry Group Chief Executive Officer, His Excellency Ato Weyo Roba in his opening speech disclosed that encouraging results are registered applying the first major component of the reform activities of the group which are minimizing expense and doing away with uneconomical usage of resources. To make the approach institutional culture as well as sustainable, management members and employees of the Group are expected to exert their utmost effort, he also added.

Mentioning the Head Office location change the Group has recently made as an exemplary step with regard to expense minimization, encouraging results have been registered in a short period, he also said.

“The main focus of the group during the current budget year is to finalize the remaining activities in different sectors like factory, agriculture and infrastructure and hence make sure the industry is in good track in 2017 EC” Ato Weyo went on saying. The other major target of Group’s reform is to bring back the industry to its previous golden history of high productivity, Ato Weyo further noted.

Ethiopian Sugar Industry Group’s 2015 E.C performance as well as plan of 2016 was presented by Ato Yoseph Begashaw, Head of Planning, Risk Management and Business Development Department which was followed by discussions of the participants of the meeting and then by the directives given by the Chief Executive Officer.

“Members of management and employees being aware of the 2016 budget year as a very crucial period to the group should exert their utmost effort to realize targets set in the plan” Ato Weyo said in his concluding remark.
