High Level Management Members of ESIG is Visiting Factories at Omo Belt

High level management members of Ethiopian Sugar Industry Group led by CEO of the Group, His Excellency Ato Weyo Roba is visiting factories operating at Omo Belt since yesterday February 25, 2024. The management team is to evaluate the half year performance of the factories following the field visit.
The team had paid a visit to factory operation of Omo Kuraz Sugar Factory Two on Sunday February 25, 2024. According to Ato Feleke Toma, General Manager of the Factory and Ato Dinsa Abdena, Deputy General Manager of Factory Operation Division, the Factory has produced 50 thousand quintals of sugar since it has started production on January 18, 2024. The Factory has set a plan to produce 150 thousand quintals of sugar during the current production season, it was learnt.
CEO of the Group, His Excellency Ato Weyo Roba and his entourage which consists of high level management members of the Group has also visited modified carriers made by internal capacity of the Factory which will help to move sugar bags from place to place easily. Following the visit of the creative fabrications of modified carriers Ato Weyo has noted on the need of working hard, on the part management members as well as employees of the Factory, to meet the plan the Factory has set.
The Team has also visited today the cane cultivation work as well as the canal and road construction activities which has reached 72% in total. The overall job, when completed, will enable the Factory to cultivate sugarcane on 1,200 hectares of land, it was noted. The project work is expected to be concluded before its project period which is September, 2024.
