The land preparation and cane plantation work of Omo Kuraz Sugar Factory Two is better than the previous years, it was disclosed.

The commendable job done with regard to land preparation and cane plantation work of the Factory was unveiled on February 27, 2024 at the evaluation forum held and chaired by CEO of Ethiopian Sugar Industry Group, His Excellency Ato Weyo Roba with the presence of high level management members of the Group.

The six month machinery maintenance performance is also encouraging, it was learnt.

The Factory has to endeavor to fulfill the plan it has set to plant sugarcane at 2,300 hectares of land ahead of the coming rainy season, it was stated at the evaluation forum.

With regard to spare parts, a direction is given to the Factory to quickly identify its needs and submit the procurement request to the Group.

Moreover, a direction is also given to the Factory to identify and solve problems related to good governance, it was disclosed.

Concluding the six month evaluation forum of Omo Kuraz Sugar Factory Two on February 27, 2024 morning time, the management team of the Group had started visiting the field works of Omo Kuraz Sugar Factory One and Three in the afternoon session.
